The Energy Policy Group is a research group of the Department of Informatics in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens consisting of a number of members each on a specific field of expertise, aiming towards the elaboration of studies in the energy policy sector by exploiting to their full extend the benefits of modern information technologies.

This approach becomes a necessity when considering the development and the integration of computer science into literally every aspect of the energy sector today.

None the less, the Group's main activities are oriented towards studies concerning energy generation, conservation, consumption, transmission and demand forecasting using models and up to date computer tools .
