Two fully funded PhD candidate positions are available at School of ECE (www.ece.tuc.gr), Technical Univ. of Crete (TUC – www.tuc.gr), in the context of project AMPERE - Batteryless, Ambiently-Powered Internet of Things That Think: An Asynchronous Message Passing Approach.

The project is hosted by Telecommunications Systems Institute (TSI - www.tsi.gr), with Principal Investigator (PI), Prof. Aggelos Bletsas.

Salary: full monthly stipend for 36 months + ample travel funding.

Position 1 (Software/Algorithms): competency in software programming and mathematics. Experience in at least one of the following: inference algorithms, signal processing for communications, probability and statistics, optimization, algebra, object-oriented programming, multi-threaded programming.

Position 2 (Electronics/Embedded Hardware/Middleware): competency in analog electronics or embedded systems programming. Experience in at least one of the following: microcontroller programming, antenna/microwave lines design, analog filters design, RF amplifier design, mixed-signal (analog and digital) systems design, FPGA programming.
