Raymetrics Full-stack developer position (2021/01)

Raymetrics is a world leader in building state-of-the-art lidar systems for atmospheric applications. We are looking for a software engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of control and processing software for our instruments.

Position description

Your position will involve:

• Designing web-apps which:

  • Control hardware components of multiple sensors (Lidar instruments)

  • Schedule and control measurements

  • Fetch and display device and other embedded sensors status (housekeeping data, state)

  • Fetch and display Lidar data

• Turning requirements into simple (but not simplified) software designs.

• Design new functionality and refactor existing one.

• Write well-structured, reusable and testable code using best practices.

Required skills

• 2+ years of Front-end development experience

  • Good grasp of a front-end framework (Vue.js preferred)

  • HTML, CSS etc

• Good grasp of Python

• Basic API design experience

• Basic Django experience

• Working knowledge of git version control system

Good to have

• Relational database design experience

• Web application deployment experience (Docker, Cloud platforms)

• Experience on IoT projects

• Scientific data visualization experience

Will be highly appreciated knowledge of

• C++

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
